  • Cultivating and securing new business distribution and development partnerships.

  • The right candidate has spent the past several years in business development activities for early to mid stage startups in the software or internet industry.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record managing a small team within a business development or Mergers and Acquisition group.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • A proven track record in negotiating and closing partnerships is required.
  • The ability to develop strategic partnering plans and implement them is essential.
  • An established network of industry contacts is required.


Position
The Sr. Corporate Marketing Manager holds a pivotal position on the Avvenu marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this team member is responsible for brand communications, messaging, positioning, branding and company-to-consumer dialog. This marketing expert is responsible both at a strategy-level and for its implementation.

Responsibilities
* Create marketing communications strategy.
* Implement marketing communications plans.
* Own the brand’s voice, visual presentation and positioning/messaging for all consumer touch points.
* Oversee all marketing communications efforts for the company including: online/offline advertising, events, corporate web presence, communications research, collateral, etc.
* Work daily with product marketing and with team members across the company.

The Basics
* 7+ years of outbound marketing experience in the areas of brand marketing, corporate marketing, and marketing communications.
* Consumer-directed software marketing experience is mandatory.
* Proven brand building expertise.
* Talent with the written word.
* Ability to define the big picture and execute the details.
* Understanding of the principles of Marketing Communications in the areas of online and offline media vehicles, research, public relations, branding, message and positioning development, creative development.
* Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
* Strong project management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with marketing team, business development, product management and other cross functional groups.
* Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with consumers.
* Experience negotiating with and managing outside vendors.
* Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent training and experience.
